Description: | BTAS, Inc. is searching for a candidate to work within the Capabilities Integration Environment (CIE) located at Maxwell Air Force Base – Gunter Annex, AL. As a senior, experienced engineer, provide senior technical leadership and serve as the focal point for applications to deploy to enterprise class hosted infrastructures. Candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. The integrator must possess the ability to gain a strong understanding of the integration and interoperability of the components that make up those infrastructures. Researches and helps implement complex system requirements and designs from an integration viewpoint. Represent CIE in technical planning, system integration, verification/validation, scheduling, and configuration management for customer systems. Ensures systems meet security and performance requirements. Verify hardware/software compatibility; assist with application load and document discrepancies, report application status to upper management and team, and guide application packages through CIE. Work closely with testers, developers, and other project personnel.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Required Skills:
A minimum of 8 years of relevant systems administration and integration experience including knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows systems and networks.
Experience documenting systems and networks.
Experience with backup and recovery procedures.
Experience with system integration, testing, and validation.
Strong organizational, documentation, project management, and communications skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team utilizing systems integration experience on medium and large projects.
Additional Desired Skills:
Previous CIE Experience
Experience deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting web based, Java applications
Knowledge and/or experience with shell scripting, Java and Oracle database administration highly desired.
Experience with Tivoli Access Manager
